About the Author

Kara D. Wilson has been writing creatively since the young age of 13. It has always been her dream to become a prominent, young adult author. In 2012, Kara's first novel, then titled The Regent's Daughter, was published.
Kara prides herself in writing strong, realistic characters who, despite their flaws and weaknesses, are relatable and personable. No matter the realm, she works to find a balance between the grit and harshness of reality and the fantasy of engaging characters and plots. Because Kara believes that reading a book should not only be an adventure but an experience wherein the reader learns and grows with the protagonist, she continuously emulates real-world problems and contentious issues to encourage young and new adults to look beyond themselves.
Kara graduated from the University of Arkansas with an MA in Communication. She currently works as a freelance book editor and graphic designer. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, hiking, watching anime, teaching ESL, and working on her next novel.
